Do you know that when I think of you love swells in my heart for you? If only my sons and daughters knew the depth of my love and thoughts I have for them. You would be shocked to know how much I think about you, and cheer for you. I am your greatest advocate outside my Son, who intercedes for you day and night. So many think I am up here with a list of do’s and don’ts. Sure, I do desire you to walk with me in righteousness and purity. As my son John wrote when he said, “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you. But to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God”(Micah 6:8). But our relationship is about so much more than your track record. Today, let’s enjoy one another’s company. You are learning to receive my love more and more. As you do this, you will be able to trust me with every aspect of your life and experience my joy over you.
